Program Requirements

• The applicant must demonstrate the inability to pay for or acquire the equipment from other sources;
• The applicant must demonstrate a need for the computer to increase independence;
• The applicant must have a disability as defined in the Rehabilitation Act. (This definition states an "individual with a disability" is "any person who (i) has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more of such person's major life activities, (ii) has a record of such an impairment, or (iii) is regarded as having such an impairment." Any existing documentation will be used to assist in this determination;
• The applicant agrees to return the computer and equipment when no longer needed;
• The applicant agrees to and signs the Attain-a-Computer program Agreement.
